    How much do participants in Vasaloppet’s Summer Week train?

    In the 2024 Vasaloppet Summer Week participant survey, we asked how much participants had trained for their event, what types of exercises they practiced, and how they rated their physical capacity and health after the race. The average participant trained around 3.2 times per week, spending approximately 4.7 hours weekly over the three months leading up to the race. Here, we present the survey findings.

    New start times for Cykelvasan 2025

    Ahead of Vasaloppet’s Summer Week 2025, Vasaloppet has decided on new start times for four of Cykelvasan’s five races. This means that the first starts in both Friday’s and Saturday’s races will take place at 08:00, which has also been the traditional start time for the winter Vasaloppet since 1991. Cykelvasan 90 will be broadcast live by SVT again in 2025.

    Astronaut Marcus Wandt to ski Vasaloppet 2025

    He went to space with a Vasaloppet number bib and medal, both of which have now been returned to Vasaloppet. As a token of gratitude, the astronaut, who was born in Mora, received much acclaim, applause, a Dala horse and, not least, a start place in Vasaloppet 2025. "This is probably the nicest gift I've received," says Marcus Wandt.

    Quick guide to Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2025

    Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2025 will be held from Friday, February 21, to Sunday, March 2, and as of now, there are still spots available in all races, including the 101st Vasaloppet on Sunday, March 2. In total, there are 14 exciting races to choose from, all of which finish under Vasaloppet’s finish line portal at the belfry in Mora.     Ski a seeding race – start in group 9 or better in Vasaloppet 2025

    Did you know that you now only need to complete one seeding race to get a better start position in Vasaloppet? If you participated in a seeding race or in Tjejvasan, Öppet Spår, or Vasaloppet 45 during the Winter Week 2024, you are already seeded to at least group 9 in Vasaloppet 2025.     Record numbers completed Vasaloppstrippeln 2024 – see results by region

    A total of 538 participants, 279 men and 259 women, successfully completed Vasaloppstrippeln this year. This challenge involves completing a ski race during Vasaloppet's Winter Week, as well as a cycling race and a running race during Vasaloppet's Summer Week – over distances of 90, 45, or 30 km. Additionally, a record number of women, 88 in total, completed Vasaloppstrippeln 90. Since Ultravasan started in 2014, a total of 3,316 participants have completed Vasaloppstrippeln. Here, we present this year's names, facts, and statistics.

    Olle Meijer and Laila Kveli won Ultravasan 90 2024

    Olle Meijer from Hälle IF won Ultravasan 90 for the second year in a row. Norway's Laila Kveli, who has previously won Vasaloppet on skis twice, surprisingly won the women’s race, finishing ahead of pre-race favourite Dominika Stelmach from Poland. Jesper Lundberg and Malin Starfelt won Ultravasan 45, while Andrew Davies and Lovisa Modig triumphed in Trailvasan 30. Vasaloppet’s Summer Week 2024 attracted around 22,000 registered participants in total. Registration for all Vasaloppet races in 2025 is now open.
