Öppet Spår Monday – our most flexible race
Classic cross-country skiing or skate? 30, 45, or 90 km? Öppet Spår Monday offers something for everyone. It’s perfect for groups who want to ski different distances and styles but still take part together and celebrate at the finish.
Welcome to a flexible Monday!
Monday, February 24: Öppet Spår Monday 90, 90 km, start Sälen
90 kilometres of skiing is a challenge, but you’ll also find time to enjoy the natural surroundings and feel the presence of history. Since 2022, Öppet Spår Monday is freestyle, unlike Öppet Spår Sunday, where only classic style is allowed. For Monday, the Vasaloppet course is prepared with both ski tracks and a surface for skating. Öppet Spår Monday 90 is a seeding race for start groups 2–9 in Vasaloppet.
Monday, February 24: Öppet Spår Monday 45, 45 km, start Oxberg
The start of Öppet Spår Monday 45 is in Oxberg, and the course loops around the beautiful Oxberg lake before passing through the three checkpoints at Oxberg, Hökberg, and Eldris. The race is freestyle, meaning that both skate and classic styles are allowed. The Vasaloppet course is prepared with both ski tracks and a surface for skating, and participants from the age of 13 and up are welcome. This is a seeding race for start groups 2–9 in Vasaloppet.
Monday, February 24: Öppet Spår Monday 30, 28 km, start Oxberg checkpoint
Unlike the other 30 km races, Öppet Spår Monday 30 doesn’t start at the regular start location but rather at the Oxberg checkpoint, 28 km from the finish. Participants from age 11 and up are welcome. The race is freestyle, meaning that both skate and classic styles are allowed. The Vasaloppet course is prepared with both ski tracks and a surface for skating.
All distances in Öppet Spår Monday can count towards Vasaloppstrippeln and En Svensk Klassiker.
Both Öppet Spår Monday 45 and Öppet Spår Monday 90 are seeding races for start groups 2–9 in Vasaloppet.
