Book ski waxing

Vasaloppet’s official waxing service can be found in Sälen and in Mora. (Only in Mora for Tjejvasan and Vasaloppet 10.)

At the earliest you can hand in your skis the day before your race. If you are going to ski Öppet Spår Sunday, you hand in your skis on Saturday, February 22. When you hand in your skis, you will be given a time when you can pick them up.

Pre-booking is possible in limited numbers. If your selected choice is no longer bookable, it may still be possible to hand your skis in for service on location in Sälen or Mora, subject to availability.

  • Addition regarding covid-19:
    If the events are affected by covid-19 restrictions, government decisions, etc. we retain the right to adjust the course, dates and times for participation and/or other conditions for the events if we deem it necessary to comply with applicable covid-19 rules. Vasaloppet has no obligation to repay registration fees or pay damages as compensation. If the event must be cancelled for reasons attributable to covid-19 you have the right to move your ski wax ticket to next year or to another option as above.
Ski transport to the start

When handing in your skis for waxing in Mora, the fee includes transport of your waxed skis to your start location for Vasaloppet 30, Tjejvasan, Öppet Spår Sunday, Öppet Spår Monday 90, Vasaloppet 45 and Vasaloppet. Transport is in collaboration with DHL. This service is not available in Sälen.

Wax packs

  • Packs 2–4 include cleaning and structure for a better glide
  • Packs 5–7 require that your skis have been cleaned ahead of time
  • Packs 3, 4, 6 and 7 are recommended for the 45 and 90-kilometre races
  • All packs can also be purchased for skin skis
